Would it be ok to use an IBC that has had Urea in it?

Or would it continue to leach ammonia and cause issues?

Urea is highly soluble in water, so I'd doubt that IBC plastic would adsorb too much, if any. A good wash with clean water should suffice. CAUTION: Urea + water = ammonia! Wear PPE and work in a well ventilated space. When you're done, fill with clean water and do an ammonia test. Wait 24 hours and repeat the test.

ehem..

Well, I knew what Urea was.... I read the MSDS to be sure there was no other nasties in a bulk container of the stuff.... looked good and satisfied my beleifs.

I felt confident.

But the truth is..... I just wanted to be sure.

Lucky there is a forum of legends I know of...... that knows stuff.

No set up
