LMAO, yeah, the AP system. I think 1600 square feet is plenty.

Well got it enlarged, right now it is 30 feet wide, that will give us plenty room to set the blocks. Also the new fish are doing great. I topped off my tank water with water from my pond today, hoping to lower the PH. Going to add more pond water tomorrow, but will check the PH first. The pond has a PH of 6.8, everything else is 0. My tank has a PH of 8.2, Amm 0, Nitrite 0, nitrate 5. Hoping this will lower the PH, but it did make my water darker than it was. Still clear, just dark.

I set up a duckweed tank today. Got it on constant flood, with a SLO drain so that my floating duck weed does not end up in my tank before I want it there.

Rain will splash it all over the place without a cover.. I set up mine like that and after the first rain duckweed was everywhere.. I was planning on making a flyscreen cover if/when I set mine up again because of the mozzies as well, but I don't know if it would get through that or not..

Water is clearing up some, but had to add more pond water due to evaporation. Here is a video of feeding time. All of those fish came from the same person, but some are black, some have red on them, and some are white. Are they different breeds?

I live in east texas and I am getting ready to start construction on my system in a month or so. I had some questions for you. Where did you get your fish from? Will all talapia breed or just blue talapia? Nice system by the way.

Thanks, took me years to get the land I wanted. Right now I have 64 acres and hoping to get more.

So far this year we have gotten 22 inches of rain, but we are coming off of a 5 year long drought (spelling). Hopefully the rain continues.

What part of east Texas? I am not far from Crockett, and Palestine. I have the Mossambica tilapia, as far as I know they are the only ones you can have in Texas without permits. If you are close enough I could make you a good deal on some of my fry if they survive. I got mine from a lady that delivers bait near here, not even sure of her business name. I had the guy at the general store near my house get them for me when he had his minnows delivered.

At least one of our tilapia had babies yesterday. There are tiny fry all over the tank. Wife is setting up an inside aquarium to put most of them in.

Thanks

Yeah, just wish I didn't have to wait 2 more weeks to see them. Going to be 21 days at work total before I go home.

Sounds like a rough work schedule, but I get the feeling you've got an early retirement in your future.
