Winery tour done and was fun. First stop was The Grove that makes different flavoured liqueurs and the wife and eldest daughter had fun. We went back there at the end as we had filled the box they gave us and for $20 they will post in home for us. When we got there the second time their mad little pup was running around with a childs sock in its mouth. I said to the owner that his pup hadn't slowed down, and he said yeah, and now its got a babies sock that it pulled of the kids foot. I gave him a hand to corner the pup and get the kids sock back LOL
Knotting Hill winery was interesting with a tank of maron , but didn't get any , and huge silver perch coming up to the deck to be fed
Fabulous lunch at Bootleg Brewery
Going to check out the Baranup Karri forrest today :)

Pop on down to Hamlin bay while you are there. One of the best lazy beaches around. PITA to get a boat out of the water with a SW blowing though. You can drive all the way along the beach to a great surf beach on the northern end. Just watch out for bity things. I was body surfing out there once, and my wife and her brother got out of the water because they saw a black shape in the water coming towards me. First I knew about it was when this seal popped up about a meter away smiling and breathing fish breath in my face. Yes, I shat myself!

Actually went down to Pembelton and the forests there. Got two 300g maron for dinner, but they will only just fit in the biggest pot here, so I have put them in the freezer to hopefully put them to sleep. Will this work?
Dunno whats happening tomorrow

were you served by Nik the boss's son at Grove?
I've been buying their Great Southern Distilling first releases. I bought their first release scotch for $250 a few years ago and it's now worth $1000 (so Nik tells me...)

Nah mate , heights do me in. Its something that come on in the last few years. Didn't use to worry me at all.
A couple of Asian guys were up there and came down while we were there and one of them looked very cautious on the way down :D Madness , I reckon :)

Was served by a young lady at the start, and an older guy, like about 40 later when we took the box of stuff back to post. Funny bugger :)

If you haven't cooked the Marron already mantis, don't boil or steam them. Split them down the middle and fry in butter, salt and pepper.

P.s. how long you in the west? I'll be in Perth on the 19th.

Boiled and eaten and were good with a knocked up seafood sauce from some mayo and tomato sauce
We are coming up to Perth today for a visit with my nephew for lunch. Will call in at Byap if I can get the girls going early enough, so doubtful LOL

Flying out tomorrow and back to work :(
