AHHH, thank you for that Nova- I will have to source some decient timber now - I think it could look real nice if I varnish the wooden 'box' to contain the half IBC :)

it's outside :lol:

A new sump is due for construction and cleaning tomorrow :D It's had a Water Clarifier in it. I'll clean it with line cleaner and set it up asap.

The sump is to replace the 480L tank, which can overflow sometimes. The pump gets overwhelmed every now and then and I'm tired of the chooks and the ducks getting the fish water :x

Week 7

I shut off the system yesterday and removed the 480L sump tank as it was not big enough for the job. Then I dug a 30cm deep hole for the spare ibc :tongue2: that arrived on Friday That was HEAPS of fun on a 32o day with 80% humidity :roll: I also dumped 25kg of shell grit in the sump (sorry VB, I couldn't get CaC03, had enough trouble getting actual shells, not fine gravel) The sump is also covered in the free product that shall not be named, UV protection and insulation :wink:

When Axl got home from work we put the ibc in place, got the holesaw out and drilled holes in the side (up near the top of the tank) for all the drain pipes.

The beans are charging along. Using the small girl measuring system you can see how tall some of them have gotten already (2 weeks since planting) I put the mesh up on Thursday, and it was not a moment too soon (should have done it a week ago)

The fish are fine.
