Hiya Goro, grevillias all the way, masses to choose from. Geraldton wax is another great native. Have a look around the local area, on the verge etc to see what is growing well. Zanthorrea nursery is the best native nursery in perth.
I've planted plenty of grevillias in the yard and watered them for the first 3 months and haven't watered since.

Charlie it is a 740sqm block chopped up to 3 , so each will be less than 250sqm but fits a 4x2. Not where I would live either but will appeal to busy city workers who would rather sip soy lattes on their weekends than get their hands dirty in the garden as it's 10kms to the CBD. I was not so lucky to inherit it but very glad I bought it when I did 10 years ago.
thanks for the offer of the agave. I might try less pointy plants first , grevilleas give me a rash so I'm avoiding those lol.

Definately go to Lullfitz nursery. There is one in Wanneroo and one in Oakford . I worked there for a year and loved the experience of learning about all the waterwise plants. George Lullfitz has a great book of all his plants and his website is fantastic. Get on it to check out plants. My frontyard is Lullfitz and i never have to water or tend to it. If you go to Oakford on Thomas rd say Hi to Nelly and mention me(Sue) :-) Everything is cheap and hardy.
