That happened here a few years ago, I'd never seen it before so it was really surreal seeing millions of spiders floating through the air with sticky gossamer strands behind them.

Apparently my husband had seen it happen a few times when he was younger living in Yarrawonga. It was so flat there whole paddocks would be blanketed in it. They'd drive the paddock bomb through it and it'd end up completely covered in it.
I couldn't get over how sticky the web strands were, obviously fit for their purpose. but it made it rather difficult to remove the spiders that landed in my hair, lol.

*eta* One thing that was quite interesting was they weren't just one variety of spider, there was numerous species all floating on the wind together. Very cool.
