for information on taro I would highly recommend Michael Porter in Florida's website:
http://www.michaels4gardens.com/
He grows many different varieties of Taro, also cassava, chaya, water chestnut, xanthosoma, cactus, yam, sweet potato, and snails. He is a valued member of the barrelponics group on yahoo.

yesterday we added two little (10cm) eel-tail catfish that we rescued from the creek a few weeks ago. We also had some rainbows that we've put in one of the duckweed baths.

I've put some small plastic baskets in the tank (they float by themselves) and there are various aquatic plants from the creek in there. Hopefully these will provide a home for the little fw prawns that came too.

When I was watching one of the grasshoppers trying to swim for safety this morning I saw a large Rainbow (about 7cm) that must have survived in the tank since January

in light of recent discussions on how much herbs you need in an AP system, here is some of my collection.

Steve, is that enough mint for some wine?
