Hi TC, thanks :)
The Ceylon Spinach, as far as I know, is also Malabar Spinach. I've got three plants. One from seed, the green stem one, and two gifted seedlings with re stems.
We've had a few leaves so far, in stir fries I think. Our stir fries have so many different ingredients that sometimes it's difficult to tell each individual one apart
I also put some leaves in a quiche. There was no bad flavours, so it must be alright ;)

We finally got around to putting a shelf on the tank and installing the new aerator.

We used 19mm poly with lots of tiny holes in it. There are off-cut sections of box steel to weigh it down. Need another weight because there isn't quite enough yet. We'll find one tomorrow, probably one of the port hole covers from the tank.

The pump itself is very quiet, but the bubbles! You can clearly hear the water moving from down in the house

We've also hooked up the spare IBC for use as a purge tank, specially for Christmas .

There is a 15L bucket with the bottom cut out filled with scrunched shadecloth, that has spent the last two days in the big tank getting seeded with bacteria. Axl bought a nice little pond pump today and the aerator from the big tank has been transferred to the ibc.

This can also be used when we get some more fish soon.

Gone a bit overboard haven't you

Heh Axl - got on the phone to a mate last night and was a bit thirsty during the call. Ended up downing 1 & 3/4 bottles of your berry cider while talking. Woke up this morning with a very mild headache

there is a blled valve on the setup. But cos the outlet is so big 19mm we would need to get a educer/splitter to run multiple airstones, couldn't fild one in the shop today, salesbloke didn't seem to understand what i was asking for. (bloody teenagers)

This is the system i use they are just small valves with a thread both sides from the drip irrigation section in b you can also use the dripper line as an air tube [it/s real cheap]
