the pair I just wore out were yellow. After a few hours of working my hands looked like I had a reeeallly baad smokers habit

I bought a few new pairs the other day (not yellow ones!) :)

Well, the bobcat just left. It's amazing what $70 can get for you!

He'll be back this afternoon to dig the post holes for the roof. I suppose we'll have to give him a couple of beers for his trouble too! :occasion7:

Oh Man!! flat too.
Nice blank canvas to work with there Jaymie!

Hey I got to ask.
Your not getting the place ready for steve to have a burnoff are you?
I have to get the fast attack unit here to do some burning soon.
Different for you thinking you get rain during our summer?

No I would be divorced in a heartbeat if I let some other man do the burning here! That's what happens when you marry a firie! :angryfire:

The shed will have greenhouse film on top and bird netting around the sides. This is keep the rain out, the birds out (including the chooks - mine seem to like to try swimming, but they're not very good at it! :angel8: )

And yes, summer is our usual time for torrential rain. Hopefully the site will be well settled, with the carpet down before it washed down the hill...

Sure looks nice Les, The bobcat operator did a great job. Definately need to do a retaining wall, or is an optical illusion as to how big that hill is. Will carpet hold?

Yes Jamie I recall you mention the firery in the family.
My firery was at it again yesterday trying to contribute to global warming.
Ground is too wet here yet, but will not be long.

Yesterday afternoon my husband was hours late getting home from work. I was at the point of searching phone calls etc. When he finally came home I was peeved, but he quickly got in the good books by saying, "but I've got us a free tank"

A friend of ours has an old water tank that was due for removal that we can have for nothing! It needs a fair bit of work but it will make a great first fish tank. It is 1.75m tall and 3.3m diam galv. The bottom of it needs replacing but the sides are good. We'll most likely cut the top off for a nice big grow bed.

Woo hoo! A few phone calls to call in more favours and the tank should be up here in a couple of days, then we can start fixing it up!

Look out fishies here comes your new home!

:D
