So, the goal of this little grow for me is to have the nitrates getting used up in my tank and in turn keep a better environment for my fancy plecos and south American cichlids and to limit waste water. Tank is 135gal and heavily stocked with L14, 48 and 75 plecos. Cichlids are uaru, geophagus and red tailed hemiodus. Temp is 79f. Ph is 6.8ish heavily filtered and aerated.

I started off sprouting microgreens in rockwool inserted into hydroton. Found out I don't need to waste rockwool for microgreens. First round went well, just harvested some speckled pea sprouts and having them in a salad as I type. I sprinkled some seeds directly into the hydroton a few days ago and they are sprouting already. Next experiment will be coriander seeds in rockwool and into the hydroton. No lighting used at the moment but I have two t5ho ready to be used. I have a flexible bubble wand inside the planter under the hydroton, rockwool is moist but not soggy. Pretty ghetto but it seems to be working.

Adding pics from laptop

Ugh need to figure out how to resize to 900x900

Get those lights on if you can. :Thumbright: Long legs plants are caused by lack of light.

Yep. The microgreens definitely made a run towards the light source. Putting the legs on the t5ho now
