My Jade perch is showing new set of behaviours. They have been doing this for the last 2 days.

They all face one direction what appear to be tread water on the surface of the tank.

It's weird. Is this normal.... Are they possessed.

It's hard to say in the day pic. But it's more obvious in the night mode.

 That is really strange, but mine only do that at night (the gold fish crew).

This might sound even more strange but mine only point east when staying still,if you could check if that's the way yours are pointing, that would be even stranger still & we will both need an exorcist :)

Dogs usually dump a load in one direction & cows lay down in only one direction.Maybe fish have their own thing too :dontknow:

Just had a thought. I have a security camera wedged under the peice of wood. There is string attached. Maybe the Infra red light is effecting them. Wouldn't explain why they do this in the day, unless their camera shy. Might remove camera and see if there are any changes.

Looks like they are facing into the direction the water is coming from.

Funny, my silver perch are doing exactly the same thing, half a body length out of the water and staying up for a substantial time. I'll have to get the GoPro out and charged. Here it occurrs at the inflow of the tank which is venturied it is almost like they are trying to go upstream. My other thought is perhaps it's mating season? I've not seen it before though.

decided to perform water test as fish weren't eating. Found NO3 extremely high and Ammonia was a little high. Checked the swirl filter looked absolutely filthy. Did a complete clean and cleaned it out completely. The fish have began to eat aggressively and only a few fish are showing signs of being possessed. Things are looking much better now.

Yep, was just about to suggest testing levels. I've seen silvers doing the same and it was always an indicator of levels being out.
